You’re struggling to feel connected to a sense of peace within your body, thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This may express itself in a variety of symptoms like anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, lack of emotional regulation, burn out, or painful relationship patterns that repeat across relationships in your life. This can make you feel trapped and hopeless.
I can support you with the use of a person-centered approach informed by philosophy and a 4E cognitive science framework—emphasizing embodied, embedded, enactive, and extended cognition—to help clients engage mindfully with their physical sensations, relationships, cultural backgrounds and surroundings as part of the therapeutic process.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Yorkville University graduate with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I have been working for a year as a trained therapist and a Junior Associate at the Centre for Treatment for Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma working with clients with complex trauma, crisis, abuse, anxiety, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, burnout, grief, OCD, and gender transition. Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in front line care for children, youth and adolescents who experienced neglect and abuse. I also have worked as social program project manager delivering services to immigrants, minorities and individuals at risk.
Through our work together, we can work together to develop a relationship to the wisdom of your own experiences, and a more integrated sense of self, experiencing greater emotional regulation, presence, and coherence between your thoughts, body, and environment to lead you towards a meaningful life. If you are ready to start, please call and book your 20-minute free phone consultation with me.
