My clinical work is rooted in a genuine and sincere passion for supporting others toward healing and self-understanding. My approach to therapy is relational and person-centered. I strongly believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative – you’re the expert of your life, and I’m here to hold space for your emotions and thoughts, gently challenge you when it’s helpful, and offer reflection, encouragement, and humour along the way. As an eclectic and flexible therapist, our work together may draw from ACT, CBT, DBT, EFT, or any other evidenced-based tool, depending on your goals, needs, and strengths. I am trauma-informed and I practice with cultural humility. Above all, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgemental environment where you can show up as who you are and we can make sense of your experiences together.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2023) degree from the University of Ottawa and am in the process of obtaining my Master of Arts in Education (Counselling Psychology) degree, also from the University of Ottawa. I completed my internship at Carleton University, where I provided psychotherapy to undergraduate and graduate students navigating the pressures and often overlooked challenges of emerging adulthood. During my internship, I saw the power that an empathetic, supportive, and warm therapeutic relationship can have on healing and growth. Prior to becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I volunteered at The Ottawa Hospital for over seven years and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario for four years. My volunteer experiences profoundly influenced by professional growth and shaped me into the mental health practitioner I am today. Across my undergraduate and graduate studies, I worked in several psychology research labs that taught me the importance of bridging the gap between science and practice to promote mental health. As a result, my clinical expertise will always be grounded in research, and I am committed to providing evidence-based tools.
With genuine curiosity, compassion, empathy, humour, and warmth, I aim to support clients in feeling empowered about themselves and their lives. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you as you gain greater insight into your functioning, build resilience, and develop self-compassion. I’ll encourage you to practice skills that support your mental health and well-being. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded in the moment, meet life’s challenges with openness and courage, and celebrate every success along the way. I have a passion for supporting individuals working in academia, public service, healthcare, or education, members of the BIPOC community, and post-secondary and graduate students. To see if we would be a good fit, I welcome any inquires and I encourage you to book a 20-minute consultation call. I look forward to connecting with you.
